Jonas Scheu was born in 1980 in Uster, Switzerland. Jonas Scheu attended the ZHdK (Zürcher Hochschule der Künste). He has a BA from HEAD-Genève (Haute école d’art et de design) in Geneva. Since 2007 he works as photographer and filmmaker, while continuing to study cinema in Geneva. Waves of Transition is his final graduation film for the Master in Film Studies at ECAL Lausanne University of Art and Design / HEAD Geneva University of Art and Design. He founded Amrit Medias in 2011.
