Songyos Sugmakanan was born in 1973 in Bangkok. After studying cinema and photography, he started writing documentaries and became an assistant director. He directed a first short movie, My Elephant, before co-directing My Girl in 2003. After 2006’s Dorm, he directed two more main features and a TV series.
