Doan Hong Le, born in 1974, studied LAnguage Scienes at Vietnamese Danang University. In 2004 and 2009, she participated in a master class of Direct Cinema Varan workshop, before becoming active member of workshop. Her documentary Who Owns the Land, has been selected in many worldwide film festivals. So close so far, the ancestral forests is her first independent documentary. She also works for television for 20 years.
