Ozu Yasujiro

Ozu Yasujiro was born in 1903 in Tokyo. He got interested in American Cinema at a very young age. He started directing his first silent movies in 1927. He shot his first talkies in 1934. He is one of the most famous Japanese directors. Only 37 of his movies survived up until today. He died in 1963.
