Chang Tso-chi was born in 1961. A qualfied electronic engineer, he studied cinema at Film and Drama Department in Chinese Culture University. He has been assistant director to Yim Ho, Tsui Hark and Hou Hsiao-hsien. He has also directed many commercials.
