Khyentse Norbu was born in 1961 in Bhutan. He is one of the most important Tibetan lamas. He studied in Sikkim, Bhutan and India. At age 13, he discovered television. Since then, he was always very interested in filming and finally collaborated on Bertolucci’s Little Buddha.
