Joël Farges was born in 1948 in Angers. He is the co-founder of movie magazine CA/CINEMA. He directed a series of documentaries about modern art and is currently teaching cinema at Paris 3 Sorbonne.
He founded his own production company Artcam in 1992.
A passionate traveler, he produced more than 20 documentaries in over a dozen different Asian countries and directed several long features for TV and cinema.
