After the passage of the typhoon Haiyan, the most devastating typhoon known to this day, which laid waste the town of Tacloban in the Philippines, the paths of Bebeth, Larry and Erwin are going to cross. Bebeth is looking for three of her children, trying to identify them by examining the DNA files of people buried in communal graves. Larry, who has lost his wife, tries to find comfort by joining a group of fervent Catholics who carry a Cross in procession through the town. Erwin, with his brother, is trying to hide the death of their parents from their little sister. As if the loss of their loved ones was not enough, a series of events is going to put their resistance to the test, as is the case for other people. They are waiting for the time when they will be able to dry these loathsome tears which run slowly down their cheeks.
