Ghalia is possessed by the spirit of Zeina, the young girl who committed suicide when Ghalia was born. She goes to Damascus to learn drama. She meets Fouad who aspires to become a film-maker, and who is fascinated by her ambiguous personality. He takes her under his protection and offers her to join him and live in the traditional house he shares with young Syrians from all over the country. These artists live in a peaceful house, where they apparently are protected from the violence happening in the streets. However, they are somehow trapped because they cannot live the way they want. They either keep locked up and are unhappy, or decide to go out and live the life of their dreams, at the risk of dying. The love story between Ghalia and Fouad was born and blossomed behind closed doors.

In his poetical film Mohamad Malas has succeeded in showing the tragedy of the Syrian conflict without any scene of violence.
