Victor, a Russian man, comes back to a small Tajik village he had left when Soviet Union collapsed and the civil war started in Tajikistan. He comes back to collect papers in order to get a Russian nationality. His father died while he was away and he also wants to go on his grave. Samad-aka, an old Tajik who knew him well in the past welco mes him and helps him in his procedure. Through this story, Safarbek Soliev allows us to share the life of a small mountain village with all its difficulties, joy, amenities and beauties, from dawn to late at night. The echo of collapse of the Soviet rule, the civil war and the building a new life reached these places, where during the cold and harsh winter days people warm their homes with the fore of kindness, hope and love. And the long winter is over it will be spring tomorrow.
