Middle-aged assistant cook Nihat’s social life is a dull routine, just as his professional life. His night tours with his colleagues hardly draw him out of his torpor of a stay-at-home bachelor. Yet, everyone assures him that a colleague, whose husband rots in jail, is making eyes at him.
“The notion of identity is a very important problem in Turkey today. To be another person or to be treated as another person is a crucial issue. It is rooted in political and religious respect and it is a big burden for the country. There is an allegory hidden in the story which can only be understood by an audience looking at it critically.” T.Pirselimoglu
A film noir from Turkey which reminds of best Hitchcock movies!
