Policeman Chan-wai, now a widower, settles with his eight-year-old son in a building almost empty. His only neighbours are a caretaker and a young introverted man and a strange stinking smell comes from their flat. Soon Chan-wai ‘s son is scared by a young girl who seems to also live on the same floor.
