Men from a nearby village have come to ask for Numafung's hand. They don't have the money requested by Numafung's father and bargain a bit. Numafung refuses to get married, but no one listens to her. She is married off and leaves her parents' farm. She starts loving Ojahang, her husband, and soon gets pregnant. While her younger sister is visiting her, Ojahang dies accidentally. Numafung is griefstricken and her life is shattered when her unborn child dies. She goes back to her parents' home. A few months later, she meets Rikute in a local fair. The light-hearted Rikute teases Numafung and jokingly proposes her to marry him. Girihang, a violent and unfair man, doesn't care about Numafung being a widow. He pays and marries her. She soon realises that Girigang is not the kind of man she can ever spend her life with. He fights with everybody..
