An Siu-fung owns ‘Quing and Han’, one of Hong Kong best restaurants. One day, Wong Wing, a Mafioso wanting the restaurant’s business on periodic felling, challenges Au Siu-fung to a duel. It is a culinary duel refereed by a jury of experts: the traditional ‘Imperial Feast’. Au Siu-fung takes up the challenge but has a heart attack when left down by his kitchen staff. His daughter Ka-wai and young lout Chiu, a cook’s apprentice at ‘Quing and Han’, decide to help him. They need to find a cook knowing the secret recipe of the feast. Advised by young prodigy chef Lung Kwun-bo, they go looking for Kit, a master of culinary art who sunk very low after his wife left him five years ago....
This Chinese comedy brilliantly directed by Tsui Hark will surely tempt the audience’s taste buds.
